If
you have wanted to paint a mural, but did not know where to
start, this mural painting class is for you. During this 5-day course students
will be in introduced to the exciting and lucrative business
of hand painted murals. Your instructor for this is world renowned
artisan Lori LeMare.

This
is a limited size class, in order to allow students to receive
plenty of personalized attention. We understand that when
you are starting out you have many questions and concerns
and we want to make sure that they are addressed. By using
a smaller class environment Lori is able to provide plenty
of personal time with each student. |
The
class will start with discussion about the brushes, mediums,
and surface you will be working on. Then you will be able
to choose the mural you would like to paint from Lori's personal
sample library. |

Then
you will learn how to grid up a scenic or figurative design
and transfer it to a larger scale. Lori will teach the basic
elements of perspective, horizon line, vanishing, and distance
points. Lori will also introduce you to the basic elements
of landscape painting, sky, backgrounds, buildings, and landscape.
Each student will complete their own mural during this hands
on class. Each student will have there own work space and
tools. The mural you paint will be about 4 feet high by 4
feet wider or larger. You will work on a large vertical easel,
just like you are painting a real wall.
