|
Ronald is committed to the pursuit of excellence in education, and to the advancement of decorative finishing in North America. Striving to elevate the standard, Ronald has created a comprehensive curriculum to meet the needs of the accomplished decorative painter, and has developed a curriculum for beginners to enter the field and start a prosperous business.
The programs that Ronald has created are so extraordinary that they have become a model that many schools are duplicating across the country. |
|
Ronald is a fourth generation decorative finisher, and has spent many years learning decorative painting from "on the job experience" and classical training. Ronald has spent thousands of hours on actual projects perfecting his craft. He was taught how to mix color and create formulas that have been handed down from craftsmen for generations. |
As a youngster, Ronald watched his father hand paint marble and wood grained finishes on historic churches. He has spent years learning what makes a great finish, and what must be done to prepare a surface to be finished. Ronald was taught in the old school where you had to crawl before you could walk. It is this training that has made him what he is today. |
Ronald's contracting firm is an industry leader, winning numerous awards from trade associations and manufacturers. He spent many years working under his father and grandfather learning all aspects of the trade. Ronald began studying art while in college, as well as some of the countries top art programs.
|
Ronald decided to open his own decorating firm in 1996, in order to venture into new markets to expand his business. Today Ronald's firm has completed some of the most elaborate, time sensitive projects ranging from residential estates, hotels, resorts, casinos, churches, cathedrals, and restaurants. The Faux School curriculum is based on real world experience, not classroom practice. |
Ronald started his own business out of the back of his pickup truck and today he employees 20-25 full time decorative artists, plaster installers, and carpenters. With a background in business management, and having experience in both commercial and residential application, students benefit from his practical business knowledge, as well as his painting expertise. |
He also teaches many courses at national conventions and expositions throughout North America. Ronald is a regional trainer for five international manufacturers and continues to provide technical support for professional painters and designers across North America.
Ronald is the only certified instructor in North America for Rivedil Italian manufactured lime based plasters and decorative coatings.
