A transparent water based glaze that is ultraviolet resistant. Designed for use in creating interior decorative finishes. Classic Wall Glaze is formulated for use by specialty painters, and scenic artists to create a variety of decorative special effects i.e., antiquing, wood graining, sponging, combing, marbling and rag rolling.
Perfect for large walls ane ceilings. It can be used to make stains or glazes for wet-in-wet techniques to create artistic effects.
Classic Wall glaze dries to a durable matte finish. It contains ultra violet absorbers and therefore helps prevent color fading on interior surfaces that will be exposed to sun light (near doors, windows, etc).
Color mixing
The first is mixing 1 quart of latex house paint to 1 gallon of Classic Wall glaze, this will provide you with 1 hour of actual working time.
When tinting using latex paint, the final color will change about 5%, darker colors may change as much as 10%, so always make a sample.
When tinting with Mixol colorants, the final color will not changes when dry, however it is always best to make a sample first.
WORKING TIME (open):- The actual working time will depend on temperature, humidity and the type and amount of colorant used. Working Time and Re coat Time will be longer under colder and/or more humid conditions and shorter under warmer and/or less humid conditions. Working time will be shorter over a surface that is not sealed. Coating can be removed with isopropyl alcohol up to 2 hours after application.
Best used over Zinnser 123 or satin eggshell enamel paint from you local paint store. |
